Who made this site?

Think Local is a program of the non-profit Seattle Good Business Network, and it would not have been possible without the incredible support of hundreds of people who care about our place. A big part of launching Think Local is the creation of this website at thinklocalseattle.org.

For now, it's a directory of local independent businesses in the Seattle metro area who are members of Seattle Good Business Network, and a place where you can learn about why "local" matters. More importantly, it's a platform we'll continue to build on that will demonstrate the full value that local independent businesses contribute to our economy and community. Eventually we'll include information about local businesses' economic impact, local and fair trade sourcing, sustainable business practices, support of schools and non-profits, awards and certificates, and so on. If you have ideas, we want to hear them!
